Portfolio Implications given Turmoil with Russia & Ukraine
Given the events of the last 48 hours, the Innova team wanted to provide a quick update on how we’re navigating these unfortunate events.
Many of you would have gone to bed last night watching news reports of Russian President Vladimir Putin launching military operations, or a “Full Scale Invasion” on Ukraine. Talks of “The darkest hours”, “World War 3” and other very click-bait-type headlines to grab attention are plastered everywhere:
In addition to going to bed hearing about the news, you would have also heard about the Australian market falling roughly 3% yesterday and will awake to find other markets down overnight also. So, we thought it pertinent to look at the performance of some of our larger positions, our hedges and how our recent changes have done to give you an idea of what we’ve done, why we did it and what we’re thinking about moving forward.
